I went to see THE LUCKY ONE at the movies on Mother’s Day and had very low expectations. But I enjoyed it a lot. It was the sweetest chick flick, and Zac Efron sure was easy on the eyes. When did he become a man anyway?!?! I also thought the lead actress, Taylor Schilling, was stunning. I cannot recall seeing her before.
I picked up the book by Nicholas Sparks as a quick, light, romantic read and it was just that. The movie actually stayed pretty closely in line with the novel’s plot, which made me happy. And, with all of Spark’s tales, I now want to get in my car and drive to North Carolina’s coast. It has a good story, believable characters, and a nice message about love and family.
I recommend this one for the beach, girls!
